On Wednesday, May 25 at 17.00 at the University Central Library (building U6, Piazza dell'Ateneo Nuovo 1, Milan) will be held the third meeting on "Doing things without words.

Health meets the languages of art and sensoriality", a series of three events parallel to the integrated project "Arts and Suburbs", organized by the University Library in collaboration with the Department of Human Sciences for Education "R. Massa" of the University of Milan Bicocca and with the Sensoria Association. The project "Arts and Suburbs", of which the University Library is a partner, aims to document, tell, share different forms of art in border contexts, and activate multiple collaborations with the territory.

A meeting dedicated to the practice of music therapy - in a way that is absolutely non-invasive, but rather calming, curious, reassuring. An expert music therapist proposes to the participants present at the spaces - reserved and protected - made available by the University Library, a small, short, simple journey through a seemingly obvious act, which, for many people, is simply part of everyday life: that is, listening to some music. But this time, we will carry out this experience as a music therapy technique - that of listening - guided and led by a professional, to strengthen, in a path that crosses emotions and thoughts, the well-being of each and all the participants.

The activity will take place in the presence, upon reservation, of hygienic wireless headphones provided by the Library.

Conduccing the event: Eugenio De Blasi, former medical specialist, senior music therapist, Sensoria APS. Author of the project "Emotions in Music - Live and take care of emotions through music".

The event is one of the initiatives of the Bicocca Music Festival, a new cultural event organized by the University of Milan-Bicocca to animate the University and the entire neighborhood, from 19 to 26 May 2022.

According to art. 10 of the new Rector’s Decree, participants must own the Covid-19 green enhanced certification and wear the FFP2 mask.
