On Wednesday, May 11 at 18.00 at University Central Library (building U6 Agorà, Piazza dell’Ateneo Nuovo 1, Milano), there will be the first encounter of “doing things without words. Health meets art and sensoriality languages”, a cycle of three encounters parallel to the integrated project “Art and suburbs”, organized by the University Library together with the Human Sciences for Formation Department “R.Massa” of the University of Milan-Bicocca and the Associazione Sensoria,
The project “Art and Suburbs”, to which the Library is a partner, wants to document, tell, share different art types in the border realm and activate multiple collaborations with the territory.
In this encounter, an art therapist, a psychologist, and an educator discuss the application of artistic and creative languages to wellbeing, creating a dialogue with the public about phenomena, behaviors, and techniques that connect expression and health dimensions. We will talk about sensory perceptions and artistic and creative practices to understand how expressive languages can make our life better.
