Animated readings for children in the project “Leggo anch’io” (I read too) will be back on Saturday, November 27 at 10:30 at the University Central Library (building U6 Agorà, Piazza dell’Ateneo Nuovo 1, Milano).

Martino Negri, professor of Literature for childhood and Didactics of literature at the University of Milan-Bicocca, and Federica Gardella, professor at Bambini Bicocca Primary School, will read “The daughter of the battles” by François Place (L’ippocampo, Milan, 2008).

There has been a terrible shipwreck. The only survivor is a little girl, sold as a slave. And then meetings, escapes, cruelty, and tenderness. The daughter of the battle tells with words and images one great adventure set in a faraway time, but it talks about the present too with a moving clarity and depth. It’s a story about ignorance and injustice, trust and courage but above all, it’s a daring love story that shows how important is it to conquer a voice to tell everything you feel and think but also to give a voice- through the stories and the tale- to those who don’t have one.

The animated reading is targeted at kids in primary and middle school.

We remind the spectators that until 12 years, the green pass is not compulsory to access the University.
