The author of the book, Alice Sophie Sarcinelli, Centre Norbert Elias (Parigi)will be present.

 

The meeting is for students, researchers, and professionals of disciplines such as primary education, educational sciences, and human and social sciences. Two anthropologists, two educationalists, a teacher involved with Roma families, and a young Roma artist will discuss the book “Des gamins roms hors-de-l’enfance. Entre protection et exclusion” (About Roma children outside childhood. Between protection and exclusion) by Alice Sophie Sarcinelli. The debate will be on two complementary elements core to the book: the institutional treatment of children categorized as Roma (the result of local, national, and European policies) and the everyday experience of children and their families.
