The need to contrast the phenomenon of gender violence is one of the most important questions discussed in public debates.
In this context, the university- a privileged place for research and the formation of future professionals- plays a fundamental role in fighting against sexual and domestic violence. This role is possible thanks to the strengthening of educational, scientific, formative, social, and cultural initiatives and; also due to the institution of national and transnational academic nets that are strictly in contact with the surrounding territory.
Project U.N.I.R.E is constituted of 10 universities at the moment.
This project is placed on the horizon of a systemic and cultural transformation of the universities in a society of knowledge.
The purpose of this encounter is not only to present the work done by the different universities involved in but, also to widen the debate with the help of new projects and the participation of all Italian universities in the U.N.I.R.E net, reinforcing collaborations with local and international institutions, such as Europe Council and European Union.
