Through our OPAC you can perform on-line some tasks, for which you would normally have to come to the library.
This is why it is necessary to start a personal working session with the Login function. You must enter your User ID and Password, and choose your University from the pull-down menu. The ID and Password are assigned by the library; if you have never used the library's web services, please ask the librarians. We recommend that you change your password after the first log-in. With the OPAC's customised functions, you can:
view your user situation (loan history, current loans, reservations etc.) and change your password with the Change password function on the upper part of the screen;
reserve books if they are already on loan, by clicking on Prenotazione (Reservation) to send a hold request to the Library; this way, you will have borrowing priority once the book is returned;
renew your loans, by clicking on the number of the loan you wish to renew; this is possible only if nobody else has reserved the document;
request articles and booksfrom interlibrary services, by filling in the online form with the bibliographic information of the document you need. The first time you use this service, you must send an e-mail to email@example.com.
Finally, remember that if you started the session from a public terminal, with the Fine sessione (End session) function you can prevent other users from consulting the OPAC under your identity.
