The OPAC, acronym for On-line Public Access Catalogue, is an electronic catalogue, which is accessibile on-line to Library users. Beside the traditional functions of a card catalogue (author, title search etc.), it offers other important functions, which make it easier and more effective to use. With the OPAC you can choose among several search options and sort the output in different ways (alphabetical, chronological order etc.).
Like all public internet resources, the OPAC can be reached from any device with an Internet connection, without having to physically go to the library. This is why it comes with a clear, complete on-line Help, to help you understand its functions and exploit its potential.
The Bicocca-Insubria Collective Catalogue comprises about 230,000 bibliographical records, one for each book or journal owned or being purchased by the libraries of Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and Università dell'Insubria, starting from 1998, when the two institutions were established.
